Storage Solutions For The Messy Home.

I have a confession to make. My home is MESSY and it's not my fault honest. It's the fault of my two lovely but extremely untidy children. Before I had children I saw a fridge magnet with the rhyme "cleaning the house whilst the kids are growing is like shovelling snow while it's still snowing!"
It is this that goes round my head when I look around me. We seem to have toys everywhere and my desk is overflowing with paperwork. I also suspect we could put our local library to shame with the amount of books we have (come to think of it some of the books probably belong to the library). It all reached crisis point at half term when my house looked like this...

So I have decided that things have to change and I've been looking for some simple and good value storage solutions. I found an online site called homestorage4u.co.uk and I have decided that the following items would be a perfect way to keep the house tidy.

In most houses there never seems to be enough storage space and yet we often forget that there is usually quite a bit of space available under the bed - especially if you have a king size like we do.  So, I think that these underbed vacuum storage bags would be a great help. They are especially good for tidying away bulky items such as winter coats, snowsuits and duvets that will hopefully be going away soon. All you need is a hoover to suck out the air and everything is neatly stored away in no time.

I also need storage for the living room but I want something that is also smart and functional. This Ottoman really foots the bill as it is perfect for putting away DVD's, books and CDs.
