Homemade Hot Chocolate

I had mentioned this recipe in another post but as it was so delicious I thought it needed a post of it's own. My kids love this as a special treat or to warm up after a cold winters day. Homemade hot chocolate - mmmmmmmmmm

Ingredients to make real hot chocolate - serves 4

1 ltr milk

180g dark chocolate - grated or chopped

60g milk chocolate - grated or chopped

2 tsps sugar (or add to taste)

optional: 1 vanilla pod and 1 cinnamon stick

whipped cream and marshmallows to decorate

Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and gently heat until the chocolate and sugar have melted in. Then remove the vanilla pod and cinnamon stick if you are using them and serve into mugs.
