Rainy Days And Muddy Puddles!

A rainy day in Hertfordshire

Now that October is here I think that most of us are starting to feel the change in the seasons. The heat from the sun is gently fading and the rainy days are getting more frequent.

I often write about how important it is to get children outside and interacting with nature, and the fact that the weather is a bit colder and a bit wetter shouldn't stop them getting out in the fresh air. In fact some of the best fun can be had on a rainy day. Although as adults we would usually much prefer to be snuggled up with a hot cup of tea, children don't seem to care as much about the cold and some seem to actively love the rain!

Of course I like to make sure that my two are wrapped up warm and well protected when we go out in the rain. Soggy socks and leaky wellies are not much fun for a toddler so I've been having a look for some great rainwear on www.muddypuddles.com

One of my children's favourite rainy day activities is to go puddle jumping which of course means a good pair of wellies is a necessity and Muddy Puddles have a great selection of boots. I particularly like these floral ones for my daughter.

I also love the all in one rainsuits that they have on the site as its great to be able to take the children out and know they won't be too soggy when they get home. I think my little boy would look very cute in this.

So don't let the weather put you off - get your wellies on and wrap up warm and make the most of the outdoors whatever the weather!
